Andrea

Andrea

Managing Director

Qualifying within a Big Four Chartered Accountancy firm, Andrea’s career has always been in Finance.

However, outside of work travel is her passion and from an intuitive customers’ perspective, she has built up significant knowledge of many sectors of the travel industry from all over the world.

Amongst them sixteen cruises, including the Galapagos Islands, Antarctica, the Panama Canal and South America, Asia, the fjords and of course Europe and the Caribbean.

From the cheap last minute deals to Majorca, to Walt Disney World Florida, Las Vegas, ranching in Arizona, an organised tour of China and the Yangtze, 10 day tailor made trip watching wildlife on the Falkland Islands, city breaks to Toronto, Vienna, Tromso, Monte Carlo and many other European cities, (malaria free) safari in South Africa, giant panda keeping in China, an activity break and whale watching in Norway, Singapore, the Maldives, a concert trip to Copenhagen and riding the biggest rollercoasters in the world on a self-drive trip to California. The list is long and varied (but still with plenty further to go)!

From talking to locals, to seeing sights and situations first hand, as well as meeting other fellow like-minded holidaymakers, Andrea believes that over this whole spectrum of experiences she has a unique but highly knowledgeable perspective on the travel sector.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys the beauty of the Suffolk countryside, walking the dogs whist also making the most of Ipswich’s proximity to London as a keen theatregoer.

Antony

Antony

Associate Director

Antony has also travelled extensively - alongside wife Andrea, of course! From Antarctica to the Maldives, city breaks in Monte Carlo, Las Vegas and Rome, the list is wide and varied (and usually selected by Andrea)!

'I did get to choose where to go for my special birthday, though,' Antony advises. 'South Africa, on safari, it was incredible! We saw so many amazing animals you would normally only see in captivity, it was great to see them in their natural habitats.'

'It's a tough life' he laughs, 'but somebody has to do it!'

Sarah

Sarah

Travel Advisor

Also having that passion and enthusiasm to get into travel, Sarah has been on many European holidays – Tenerife, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Corfu, Cyprus and Italy amongst them. But last year’s venture to Mexico has whetted the appetite. Sarah is now convinced that long haul is ‘where it’s at. Swimming with dolphins, jet skiing and discovering new traditions and cultures on her trip, as well as the holidays she now arranges for customers, has made her think the world is actually much bigger than she thought!

Australia is the next big focus. ‘I want to do it all,’ she insists.

Jeni

Jeni

Administrator

Jeni has come from a finance background, previously working with pensions and investments.

She has been around Europe and always dreamt of travelling the rest of the world too.

"I am going to New York and Boston this year but to see Monterey Bay during migration season one day would be amazing!"

Jeni has been to Disneyland Paris twice, most recently to experience their Season of the Force. "It had been snowing the week before we left and on the first day we landed it continued to snow all day with sub-zero temperatures. But we didn't let it ruin the mood, in fact we got some once in a lifetime shots! As well as all the traditional rides, we went on the newly revamped Hyperspace Mountain, saw the Imperial march and the light show at night. It was a Star Wars lovers' dream!"

Working at Idelo has opened up a whole new list of destinations for Jeni too. Sri Lanka had never crossed her mind before but after seeing so many people booking to go to this beautiful island, she's grown jealous and vows that she too will visit soon!

I have been an avid traveller for the past thirty years. Since my first flight aged 17 to Grand Canarias on a package deal I was hooked. I have travelled to every continent and seen the most amazing things. It is both the sites and the people that I meet which make my travels so exciting and I have visited nearly 40 countries.
I enjoy all aspects of travelling and have tried just about everything. I have camper vanned in Australia and Canada. I have cruised over ten times in Europe and especially loved the two week Baltic Cruise from the UK. I have done several house exchanges, the most memorable to Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa for five weeks where we had monkeys in our garden. I have stayed in all- inclusive resorts in the beautiful Caribbean islands of Antigua, Tobago, Barbardos, St Lucia and Grenada. I have visited Israel and recently had an amazing two week adventure in Jordan. I enjoy villa holidays abroad and cottage breaks in the UK, and I take my two golden retrievers with me.

I love skiing and have skied many times in Europe, my favourite resort being the undiscovered and unspoilt result of La Thuile in Italy. I have explored many European capitals starting aged 18 interailing and carrying on in more comfort as I have got older. My biggest passion is the continent of Africa. I have visited seven Africa countries, three on several occasions, and frequently self -drive. I have driven through and camped in the Kimberleys in Australia going from Broom in Western Australia to Darwin at the top end. I have visited the Far East, especially liking Hong Kong, and enjoyed a two week driving tour of Costa Rica.
